Differential Bearing Shim for the differential carrier assembly, fitted behind the differential side bearing to control bearing preload and set the position of the crown wheel and pinion mesh.

This shim is 2.155mm thick. Shims of differing thickness are selected during assembly to achieve the specified bearing preload and backlash.
