Description

Side Repeater Lamp – side direction indicator repeater with a clear lens, part of the exterior lighting system.

Mounted in the front wing panel ahead of the door, it flashes in phase with the front and rear indicators on the same side to give lateral visibility of the turn signal to traffic alongside the vehicle. The clear lens carries no colour filter, so an amber bulb is required to produce the correct indicator colour.

Water ingress past the lens seal is the usual cause of failure, corroding the bulb contacts and leaving condensation inside the lens.
