Description

Fuel Filter – in-tank type, carried on the fuel pump and sender assembly inside the fuel tank.

The filter sits between the in-tank pump and the fuel supply line, trapping particulate contamination before fuel reaches the pressure regulator and the injectors. Because it is submerged, it is reached by withdrawing the tank pump and sender assembly rather than from an in-line position under the vehicle.

The sealing ring at the tank aperture should be checked whenever the assembly is disturbed.
