Description

EGR Gasket seals the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve connection to the inlet manifold on the 200Tdi and 300Tdi 2.5L four-cylinder turbo diesel engines.

The EGR system routes a metered portion of exhaust gas back into the intake to lower combustion temperatures and reduce NOx emissions. A correctly seated gasket prevents exhaust gas leaks at the valve-to-manifold interface, which can otherwise cause rough running, elevated emissions output, and carbon accumulation around the EGR housing.
