Description

IRD Rear Output Flange Oil Seal for the Freelander 1 Intermediate Reduction Drive (IRD) unit.

The IRD transfers drive to the rear propshaft and viscous coupling on Freelander 1 models. This seal fits at the rear output pinion of the IRD, retaining lubricant within the unit and preventing oil ingress into the propshaft assembly. A leaking output seal is a common cause of IRD oil loss and resulting unit wear.
