Description

Return to Centre Steering Damper for installation within the steering linkage assembly.

This unit mounts between the axle steering arms and the steering linkage, providing hydraulic damping while an external coil spring applies a centring force to assist the steering in returning to the straight-ahead position. The damper uses a 30mm bore and piston with a 12.5mm double-chromed shaft for smooth, consistent damping action.

Suitable for use on LHD and RHD Defender applications. Fitting to Discovery 1 or Range Rover Classic requires the addition of steering damper relocation kit TF527; fitting to Discovery 2 requires mounting kit TF498.
