Rocker Cover Gasket for the 2.5L six-cylinder M51 turbo diesel, part of the cylinder head and valve gear sealing group.

The gasket seals the joint between the pressed rocker (valve) cover and the machined cylinder head face, containing oil around the camshaft and rocker gear and keeping dirt out of the valve train. It is a single-use item – fit a new gasket whenever the rocker cover is disturbed.

Inspect for hardening, cracking or oil seepage down the side of the cylinder head during routine servicing.
