Alternator – Lucas A127 type, 65 A output. Part of the charging system: driven by the auxiliary belt from the crankshaft pulley, it generates the charging current that maintains the battery and supplies the vehicle’s electrical loads while the engine runs.

The integral voltage regulator holds the charging voltage steady across engine speeds. Used across the four-cylinder diesel, four-cylinder petrol and V8 petrol ranges.
