Kickdown Cable for the automatic transmission, part of the gearbox control linkage.

The cable links the engine throttle/injection control to the automatic gearbox, signalling engine load so the transmission knows when to hold a gear or drop down a ratio (kick down) under acceleration. Its adjustment sets the shift points and the kickdown threshold. For TDi engines fitted with the 4-speed automatic transmission.
