Description

Clutch Master Cylinder – hydraulic master cylinder in the clutch actuation circuit, for TD4 diesel applications with left-hand drive.

Mounted on the pedal box, it converts clutch pedal effort into hydraulic pressure. Depressing the pedal displaces fluid from the reservoir through the cylinder to the clutch slave cylinder, which releases the clutch. Fluid supply is drawn from the shared brake and clutch fluid reservoir.

Worn internal seals cause a soft or sinking pedal and incomplete disengagement, making gear selection difficult or impossible.
