Description

Handbrake Shoe Set for the mechanical parking brake, which operates inside its own dedicated drum and is independent of the hydraulic service brake circuit.

The shoes are expanded against the inner face of the parking brake drum by the handbrake cable and expander mechanism, holding the vehicle stationary once the lever is applied. Because the mechanism is purely mechanical, the linings wear only when the parking brake is used and are unaffected by service brake operation.
