Description

Brake Pad Wear Sensor is the front brake pad wear-warning sensor, part of the front braking circuit’s wear-indication system.

The sensor is a short wiring assembly whose loop is embedded in the front brake pad. As the friction material wears down to its service limit, the disc contacts and breaks the sensor loop, signalling the instrument cluster to display the brake pad wear warning. It is renewed together with the pads it monitors.
