Contact Set for the Lucas distributor fitted to Land Rover petrol engines, comprising the breaker point assembly within the conventional ignition system.

The contact set mounts inside the distributor and interrupts the primary ignition circuit to trigger the high-voltage coil discharge at each firing event. A standard service replacement item, the contact set is inspected and renewed as part of a routine ignition tune-up on vehicles with conventional (non-electronic) ignition.
