Sealing Washer – bonded (Dowty-type) seal for the power steering pump banjo union.

The washer is a metal outer ring with a vulcanised elastomeric inner lip. As the banjo bolt is tightened the lip is compressed into the joint face, sealing the high-pressure fluid path between the pump body, the hose banjo eye and the bolt head. Because the elastomer takes a permanent set once compressed, it is a single-use item – reusing a previously torqued washer is a common cause of persistent weeping at the pump outlet.

Two washers are required per banjo joint, one either side of the hose eye. The companion banjo union is RTC5674.
