Description

Distributor Base Plate – the base plate assembly inside the V8 distributor, carrying the magnetic pick-up for the electronic ignition. The pick-up senses the rotating reluctor as the distributor shaft turns, triggering the ignition amplifier to time the spark.

Supplied as the combined pick-up and base plate assembly, for 3.5L V8 engines with electronic ignition.
