Main Bearing Set – a set of crankshaft main bearing shells for the Rover V8 petrol engine.

The main bearings are the split shell bearings that carry the crankshaft in the cylinder block, seating between the main journals and the block and main bearing caps to provide the hydrodynamic oil-film surface on which the crankshaft rotates.

This set is machined to +0.010in oversize, to suit a crankshaft whose main journals have been reground 0.010in undersize. Confirm the crankshaft regrind size before ordering so the bearing shells match the journals.
