Description

Caged Captive Nut – an M8 nut held in a spring-steel cage that clips into a panel or bracket to provide a captive threaded fixing.

It anchors the fuel cooler mounting on the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel, allowing the retaining bolt to be tightened from one side where the nut cannot otherwise be held. The cage retains the nut and permits slight float to ease bolt alignment.
