Description

Split Pin for the rear tailboard lower assembly.

A split pin (cotter pin) passes through a drilled clevis or retaining pin and its legs are splayed open to lock it in place, preventing the hinge and check components of the tailboard from working loose in service. A single-use fastener, it is renewed whenever the joint it secures is disturbed.
