Description

Intercooler Hose – left-hand upper hose in the charge air (intercooler) circuit of the 3.6L V8 32V DOHC turbo diesel (Lion TDV8).

It carries pressurised, heated charge air on the left-hand side of the engine between the turbocharger and the intercooler matrix, where the air is cooled before passing on to the induction system. The moulded, reinforced construction withstands the boost pressure and temperature cycling of the charge air circuit while accommodating engine movement on its mountings.

Splits, softening or perished ends at the clamp faces allow boost pressure to escape, giving reduced power and, typically, a stored boost-pressure fault.
