Viscous Fan Coupling for the engine cooling system.

The viscous coupling drives the engine cooling fan and regulates its speed according to under-bonnet temperature, engaging to draw more air through the radiator as coolant temperature rises and freewheeling when additional cooling is not needed. Fitted to the BMW-sourced M57 3.0L and 2.5L 6-cylinder diesel engines.
