Power Steering Pump for the steering hydraulic circuit of the 2.5L 200TDi four-cylinder turbo-diesel engine. Belt-driven from the engine, it draws fluid from the reservoir and delivers it under pressure to the steering box, providing the hydraulic assistance that reduces steering effort at the road wheels.

The pump sets and maintains the working pressure of the assistance circuit; a worn or failing pump typically shows as heavy or inconsistent steering and a whine that rises with engine speed. Applies to the manual-transmission specification.
