Description

Rear Main Bearing Cap Seal for the Rover V8 petrol engine, sealing the joint between the rear main bearing cap and the cylinder block.

This cruciform packing seal (also referred to as a side or “T” seal) closes the side joints of the rear main bearing cap to prevent oil escaping at the rear of the crankshaft where the cap meets the block. Two are fitted per engine.
