Timing Pin (Short) is a workshop special tool used to set the engine timing on the Td5 2.5-litre five-cylinder turbo diesel.

The pin locates through the flywheel housing into the crankshaft, locking the crankshaft at its timing reference position. This holds the engine accurately while timing-related work is carried out, such as setting valve timing or refitting components that must retain their relationship to crankshaft position. This is the short pin variant.
