Brake Pad Set – Front – friction pad set for the front brake discs and calipers assembly, supplied as a complete axle set covering both front wheels.

The pads locate in the front caliper carrier and are clamped against the brake disc by the caliper pistons, carrying the greater share of the braking effort as load transfers forward under deceleration. Specified for the 18-inch front disc and caliper build.

Pads should be renewed as an axle set so that braking effort stays balanced from side to side. Inspect the disc friction faces for scoring or lipping and check that the caliper guide pins move freely before fitting. Where a brake pad wear sensor is fitted it is a separate component and should be renewed with the pads.
