Lower Steering Column Shaft for the steering column assembly, incorporating a universal joint.

It forms the lower section of the column, transmitting rotational input from the upper steering column down to the steering rack pinion. The integral universal joint lets the shaft turn through the angle between the column and the rack while passing on the driver’s steering input. For left-hand-drive applications.

The built-in universal joint is a wear item; play, stiffness or noise felt through the steering can indicate the joint has worn.
