Description

Vacuum Hose and Valve assembly for the brake servo (booster) vacuum circuit, connecting the engine vacuum pump to the servo inlet. Hose and valve are supplied together as a single assembly.

On diesel applications the brake servo draws its vacuum from a mechanical vacuum pump rather than from inlet manifold depression, so the condition of the hose and its valve directly determines the braking assistance available. A perished or split hose, or a valve that no longer holds vacuum, gives a hard pedal and increased pedal effort.
