Wiring Harness – Rear Bumper Parking Aid is the sub-harness that runs inside the rear bumper and connects the rear parking aid sensors to the vehicle body harness.

It carries the supply and signal lines from each rear ultrasonic sensor back to the parking aid module, and is fitted only to vehicles specified with the rear parking aid system. Because the harness is mounted inside the bumper it is directly exposed to water spray and road salt, so corroded terminals or a chafed lead are a common cause of sensors reporting permanently obstructed or of the system disabling itself with a fault.

Replacing the harness is the normal remedy once a connector or lead has corroded, since individual terminals are not serviced separately.
