Description

Oil Filter – the replaceable cartridge element for the engine lubrication circuit, fitted inside the filter housing on the oil pump, cooler and filter assembly.

All oil leaving the pump passes through the element before it reaches the main gallery, so the media traps combustion soot, carbon and wear metal ahead of the bearings, camshaft phasers and variable valve timing solenoids – the fine oil passages that suffer first when oil is left in service too long. Supplied with the housing seal, which is renewed together with the element.

For petrol applications: the 5.0L V8 AJ133 in naturally aspirated, supercharged and DOHC CDA form, and the 3.0L DOHC GDI supercharged V6. Renew at every engine oil change.
