Centrifugal oil filter housing assembly for the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel, mounted on the oil cooler and filter assembly at the side of the cylinder block.

The centrifuge is driven by pressurised engine oil and spins at high speed, throwing fine soot and carbon particles out of the oil and depositing them against the wall of the rotor. It works alongside the main full-flow oil filter, removing the very fine contamination that the paper element does not trap.

The housing carries the rotor and is sealed to its mounting face by a gasket, which is a separate part.
