Valve Stem Oil Seal for the Td5 2.5L five-cylinder turbo diesel engine, fitted at the top of the valve guide in the cylinder head.

It seals around the valve stem where it enters the guide, metering the small amount of oil that lubricates the stem and preventing excess oil being drawn down the guide into the port and combustion chamber. Worn seals let oil pass, leading to raised oil consumption and exhaust smoke.
