Description

Idler Pulley guides and supports the timing belt on the 300 TDi 2.5L turbo diesel.

Running on a sealed bearing, it routes the belt around the timing case and maintains the correct wrap over the crankshaft, camshaft and injection pump sprockets. As a bearing-supported component it is renewed together with the timing belt and tensioner, so that a worn bearing cannot fail in service and throw the belt.
