Description

Hub Oil Seal – Inner for the front and rear wheel hubs, seating around the stub axle.

The seal runs on the stub axle to retain hub lubricant and exclude water, dirt and grit from the wheel bearing area. A failed seal allows oil or grease loss and contaminant ingress, leading to bearing wear. Two are fitted per axle.

Note: FRC8221 has been incorrectly superseded to this part by Land Rover – the correct replacement for FRC8221 is the heavier-duty RTC3511.
