Description

Drive Plate for the Td5 2.5L 5-cylinder turbo diesel with ZF automatic transmission. The drive plate (flexplate) bolts to the rear of the crankshaft and couples the engine to the torque converter.

It carries the starter ring gear on its outer edge and transmits engine torque into the torque converter, taking the place of the flywheel used on manual applications. Its flexible design accommodates the small axial movement of the converter under load.
