Description

Layshaft is the countershaft within the LT77 five-speed manual gearbox, carrying the cluster of gears that mesh with the mainshaft gears.

Drive passes from the input shaft onto the layshaft cluster and back up to the mainshaft to establish the intermediate gear ratios. Applicable to LT77 gearboxes of suffix F onwards.
