Torsion Spring for the gear lever mechanism of the LT77 and R380 five-speed manual gearboxes.

Fitted within the gearchange housing, it supplies the torsional return tension that biases the gear lever back towards its central plane and maintains positive selector feel. A corroded or fatigued spring lets the gearchange feel vague, so it is commonly inspected and renewed during gearbox or gearchange servicing.
