Needle Bearing – LT77 5-Speed Gearbox – Mainshaft

This needle roller bearing supports the mainshaft gear cluster within the LT77 5-speed manual gearbox. It is fitted at the 1st, 2nd, and 5th speed mainshaft gear positions, allowing the gears to rotate freely on the mainshaft when not engaged.

Worn or damaged needle bearings at these positions cause gear rattle, difficulty selecting gears, and in advanced cases, gear jumping or premature wear of the mainshaft journal. Replacement is carried out during a full LT77 gearbox overhaul.
