O-Ring – Diff Lock Selector Shaft – LT230 Transfer Case

This O-ring seals the differential lock selector shaft where it passes into the LT230 transfer case housing. It sits on the selector (cross) shaft that operates the diff-lock engagement fork, keeping transmission oil from weeping past the shaft where it exits the casing.

A perished or hardened O-ring here lets oil seep from the diff-lock selector housing and can let air into the mechanism, giving sticky or unreliable centre-diff lock engagement. Replacement is recommended whenever the diff-lock selector housing, fork or shaft is disturbed.
