Description

Primary Pinion is the input gear of the LT77 five-speed manual gearbox.

Mounted on the primary (input) shaft, it takes drive from the clutch into the gearbox and runs in constant mesh with the layshaft cluster, from which the individual gear ratios are driven. This is the pinion for the four-cylinder (non-TDi) application.
