Description

Dowel is a precision locating pin that aligns mating components during assembly, setting their position accurately and relieving the securing bolts of shear load.

It locates the air conditioning compressor and the drive belt idler bracket (non-ACE) on the Td5 engine, and serves as the clutch release bearing guide dowel within the LT77 and R380 manual gearboxes.
