Description

Injection Pump Pulley is the drive pulley mounted on the input shaft of the mechanical fuel injection pump in the 2.5L 4-cylinder diesel engine.

It is driven by the engine’s timing belt or timing chain and is responsible for synchronising the rotation of the injection pump with the crankshaft, ensuring fuel is delivered to each cylinder at the correct point in the combustion cycle. Correct pulley alignment and timing marks must be observed on installation to maintain injection timing. Replacement is required when the pulley shows signs of wear, damage to the drive surface, or deterioration of the hub fitment.
