Description

Joint Washer sealing the mounting joint between the cylinder block and the auxiliary unit driven off the engine: the vacuum pump on diesel engines, the distributor housing on petrol engines, and the injection pump on certain diesel applications.

This thin gasket sits at the machined block face beneath the housing flange and seals the joint as the unit is bolted to the block. It is renewed whenever the vacuum pump, distributor or injection pump is removed and refitted.
