Air Duct from the fresh-air intake assembly of the 2.5-litre TDi engine.

It routes incoming air through the intake system toward the air cleaner housing, forming a sealed path that keeps the induction air separated from under-bonnet heat and water. Maintaining an unobstructed, airtight duct preserves the full air supply to the filter and engine.

A duct that is split, collapsed or loose at its connections allows unfiltered air or water to enter the intake, so it is renewed when cracked, deformed or no longer sealing at its joints.
