Cam Cover Gasket for the 2.5L Td5 5-Cylinder Turbo Diesel engine.

This gasket seals the camshaft cover to the top of the cylinder head, preventing oil leaks from the valve train area. The Td5 engine uses two distinct cam cover gasket specifications; this is the early type fitted to Defender engines up to VIN 1A622423 and Discovery2 engines upto VIN 1A736339, identifiable by the small half-moon seals at the front of the cylinder head. Later engines use a revised gasket without these half-moon seals – verify the VIN before ordering.
