Alternator, 120A, for the 2.5L Td5 diesel – the charging-system unit that supplies the vehicle’s electrical power and recharges the battery.

Belt-driven from the engine, it is rated at 120A output and incorporates an integral vacuum pump at the rear. The vacuum pump generates the vacuum needed for the brake servo and other vacuum-operated controls, which a diesel engine cannot draw from the inlet manifold.
