Fan Bearing supports the engine cooling fan on the Td5 front cover.

Mounted to the timing cover, the bearing carries the viscous cooling fan and its drive spindle, allowing the fan to rotate freely while withstanding the loads of continuous operation. A worn fan bearing develops noise and play, and if left unattended can allow the fan to move out of true and contact surrounding components.
