Description

Cylinder Head Gasket for the 2.5L 200 TDi and 300 TDi diesel engines, sealing the joint between the cylinder head and the engine block.

It contains combustion pressure within each cylinder bore and seals the coolant and oil galleries that cross the head-to-block face. This is a multi-layer gasket of the 3-hole thickness grade, measuring 1.59mm. On the TDi engine the thickness grade is identified by the number of holes (notches) along the gasket edge and is selected to match the measured piston protrusion.

The cylinder head bolts on these engines are tightened by the angle (torque-to-yield) method and should be renewed whenever the head is removed.
