Cylinder Head Bolt (Long) for the V8 petrol engine, securing the cylinder head to the engine block.

This is the longer of the two head bolt lengths used across the cylinder head. When torqued to specification it clamps the head down onto the head gasket, sealing the combustion chambers, coolant passages and oil galleries against the block. Head bolts are stretch fasteners and are replaced as a set whenever the head is removed.
