Description

Bypass Hose for the engine cooling system of the 200 TDi diesel engine, connecting into the coolant pump.

It carries coolant on the bypass route to the pump while the thermostat is closed, keeping coolant circulating around the engine during warm-up before the main radiator circuit opens. The hose is retained by worm-drive clamps at each connection.

Rubber coolant hoses harden and perish with age and heat; renewal during cooling-system service helps prevent leaks and overheating.
