Description

Valve Stem Seal – the seal fitted over the valve stem in the cylinder head to control the oil that passes down the stem into the port.

This is the flat washer-type seal used on the inlet valves of the Rover V8. It limits the oil drawn past the inlet valve guide under manifold vacuum, reducing oil consumption and inlet-side smoke. It seats beneath the valve spring and works with the guide to meter stem lubrication.

For the 3.5L and 3.9L V8 petrol engines.
