Winch Rope – 11mm synthetic rope for recovery winches, a direct replacement for steel winch cable.

The rope is constructed from 12-strand Dyneema HMPE (high modulus polyethylene), measuring 11mm in diameter and 28m in length, with a breaking strength of 25,800 lbs (11,700 kg). It suits the DB12000, DB9500, DB9000C and DB8000 winches.

The synthetic construction is considerably lighter than steel cable and does not hold kinks or curls. It can be spliced for repair and floats on water. As it stores far less energy than steel cable under load, it does not recoil dangerously if it parts.
